Ana Genkova is an ICJIA research analyst. As a doctoral student, Ana participated in community-based collaborative research projects to support education and economic development initiatives. In 2018, she received a nationally competitive grant from the Society for Community Research and Action to conduct research on community resilience in a Mexican immigrant neighborhood in Chicago. Her interests encompass community-level violence prevention, culturally and contextually appropriate interventions, and collaborative/community-engaged research and evaluation.
Ana holds a doctoral degree in psychology with a concentration in community and prevention research from the University of Illinois at Chicago and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago.312-793-8550
