These rules establish procedures for the collection of money due from insurers of private passenger motor vehicles for each calendar year to be deposited in the Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Trust Fund as authorized by the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act.

NICB Insurance Vehicle Expense Fund Form

This form is for the purpose of obtaining prior approval on insurance vehicle expenses.

The NICB Insurance Expense Fund is a designated fund specific to covering the expenses related to acquisition and repair of insurance donated vehicles.

Sen. LaHood, Rep. Golar honored for auto theft prevention efforts

Sen. Darin M. LaHood, R-Peoria, and Rep. Esther Golar, D-Chicago, were commended Aug. 19 by the Illinois Auto Theft Director's Association, MVTPC, and Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority for their support of efforts to combat automobile theft and their assistance in securing passage of MVTPC's reauthorization of the Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Act.

Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council Announces $6.5 Million in Grants for Prevention, Recovery, and Prosecution Efforts

The Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council (MVTPC) today announced its 2011 grant program designations. The Council awarded nearly $6.5 million to 12 agencies, including three serving Chicago, that investigate and prosecute auto theft, audit salvage yards, and provide public education, officer training, and data analysis.

About the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council

In 1991, the Illinois General Assembly established the Illinois Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention Council, an 11-member coalition uniquely comprising law enforcement and insurance industry officials, which has worked tirelessly to curtail vehicle theft, insurance fraud, and related crimes. Staff support to the Council is provided by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.
